I guess you already know why am i'm writing here, have been experiencing the same error, without any luck for solving it. I can say that i tried every solution provided by Darius, but of course nothing solved my problem. I guess my problem is different 
. In the attachment you can find my log file and i hope it will help you for finding what's causing the problem.
One thing to note: This is happening on a brand new VMWare Workstation install, when creating a new Virtual Machine or starting an existing one.

UPDATE: I fixed my problem, i just followed this guide and now everything is fine
