Hi,
When I install (using either the Fusion 'easy' method or not) Windows 7 Pro 64 bit I end up with a Windows 7 Pro 32 bit virtual machine.
I was watching for, but didn't see, any way to specify 32 bit vs. 64 bit while I was doing the installation.
I am using Mac OS 10.10.4, with 8 GB of RAM (assigning 4 GB to the virtual machine, but read on about this...).
Just to make it a little more weird, I have already built a Win 7 Pro (OEM) 64 bit virtual machine and that worked just fine.
I am attaching screen shots of Computer / Properties for comparison. I think it's noteworthy that the Win 7 Pro 32 bit install shows the "System Rating" as "unavailable".
Also, the RAM allocation for the Windows 7 Pro 32 bit vm is NOT being carried through correctly. I was careful to change this to 4 GB when I did this installation a second time, thinking I had missed it the first time. No, the change I made using the Fusion virtual machine settings control panel is definitely NOT being carried through to the resulting vm. It is still set correctly in the Fusion VM settings control panel.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
Thank you in advance,
Jack
