Re: VMWARE Linux Issue to connect with Putty

Yes, i have done new Vanilla Installation.

 

No, i do not have any other VM, this is the first VM on this windows 7 machine

 

I wanted to practice Oracle R12 and Database's on OEL Environment... but still i m in the first stage

 

Ok here i am,I have installed OEL5 on VMWARE8 [NEW]

 

Before that i would like to share the information of my IP and other very clearly

Now i restart the Network Services...

 

And tried to conform it via ping:

 

Present Situtation :

 

 

I am able to ping the VMWARE Linux box from Host machine:

                                                      Host        Guest         Vmnet             Internet

Host IP      : 192.168.1.45               YES          YES             YES              YES 

OEL5 IP     : 192.168.1.47               YES          YES            YES              YES     (ping www.google.com)

VMNet IP : 192.168.1.46                 NIL             NIL              NIL               NIL

 

From the above matrix you can understand the situation--

 

 

Now i tried to connect Putty by ssh & Telnet

And Try to connect with Filezilla

I do not know what to do .. hope going to drop this learning process after  a long time..

 

Finally, i am ready to give access to my Team Viewer if some one want to check my OEL Box
