The Intel I350 has it's net-igb as:

VMWare and Cisco say for 5.1u2 with CIMC 2.0(4c):
I need 5.2.5
From there I plan to migrate to CIMC 3.0(4) and upgrade to ESXi5.5 (and appropriate megaraid and igb).
It's really a question of the net-igb ESXi drivers if I can directly upgrade.
